Congratulations: if you haven't reached ch11, you've just been spoiled.

L, the genius (monkey-boy) from the new manga Death Note. I like him. I tried to make his eyes the focus of the picture, since his eyes seem to be his defining characteristic. His eyes, and the sun in the upper right, are the only places you'll find true white in this picture.

I tried a new technique on the hair, which I think turned out really well. I'll try it again.

I like his long toes. In fact, I like any character who gives me an excuse to draw bare feet.

Wow, I love the backround and your style of digital painting. If you go around deviantart, you usually see digital paintings that just look like photographs, too perfect and precise to look like an expressive painting. But yours doesn't only carry symbolism, but emotion comes out in almost every stroke. It's really nice! ^^

The only thing I can think of is that his right shoulder (from our side) is a tiny bit lower than normal from that angle. Or perhaps it isn't... it just stuck out oddly to me.

Beautiful work! (And you've gotta love L, he sorta does look like a monkey, doesn't he?)
